Does AI recommend my company to B2B buyers?

Mostly, no. When a B2B buyer asks an AI engine who to trust in a category, ChatGPT and Claude return the same short list of recognized names and ignore almost everyone else. Being mentioned by AI and being recommended by AI are different things. This measures the second: when a buyer asks who to pick, does the answer name you. Being the better option does not put you there; entity trust does. The tool shows who AI recommends for your category, from a real citation probe, and whether your company is on the list.

Type your company to see if AI names it for B2B positioning.

  • For B2B positioning, ChatGPT and Claude keep naming: aprildunford.com, pitchkitchen.com, fletchpmm.com, firebrickconsulting.com, focuslab.agency.
  • The most-cited source alone took 9% of the citations. The answer space is concentrated.

FAQ

How does the AI Trust Gap Checker work?
It runs a fixed set of buyer questions for your category through ChatGPT and Claude, logs every source they cite, and ranks the companies AI recommends. Your result is a lookup against that pre-computed data.
Why is my company not cited?
Strict-retrieval engines favor sources with strong entity signals: a recognized organization, consistent structured data, and citations from other trusted places. A better answer from a source AI does not yet recognize does not clear that bar.
How do I get AI to recommend my company?
Publish something only you can publish, use LinkedIn long-form as a primary source under a named person, and build consistent entity signals across the web. Being cited by a trusted third party is what moves the strict engines.
